The Community Insurance Fund was established in January 2003 by the Government of Western Australia to assist community organisations based in Western Australia, to obtain affordable insurance cover.
In consequence of the general insurance market now actively seeking business and offering "affordable" premium rates to Community Organisations, the Government has closed the Community Insurance Fund to new members as from 31 January 2008.
