Finalising Your Claim
How is my claim finalised?
Once your injuries have stabilised, your claim can be finalised. We will contact you about any compensation you may be entitled to. This may include compensation for:
- Pain and suffering;
- Past loss of earning capacity;
- Future loss of earning capacity;
- Future medical treatment; and
- Travel costs.
Our assessment is based on the evidence we have collected through the course of your claim, for example:
- Medical reports;
- Economic loss evidence; and
- Crash investigation material.
How long does it take to finalise my claim?
Some people may recover from their injuries within weeks or months and their claim can be finalised quickly.
Claims for serious injuries requiring extensive treatment and/or rehabilitation, will take longer to finalise.
We will contact you when we receive medical advice indicating your claim can be finalised.

How is my compensation paid?
Compensation is generally paid as a one off lump sum.
