Integrated Cricket League
Returning home post-accident and accessing the community are common goals that the Insurance Commission supports its claimants to achieve.
People with disability may face barriers in certain environments that prevent their inclusion in an activity. The Belt Up campaign partners with the Western Australian Cricket Association to support the Integrated Cricket League, which encourages participation for people with disability.
The Integrated Cricket League is an inclusive competition that modifies the game format and environment to provide opportunities for people with disability. There are 16 teams with up to 150 players playing cricket in the community every week.
We have provided the Integrated Cricket League with independence-enabling Belt Up kits including visual aids, helmets, and customised bats and balls to boost participation for the modified game format.
