The Insurance Commission offers a range of career opportunities in a dynamic and flexible work environment for talented people from diverse backgrounds.

We value innovative thinking from people who will engage with our values.

What We Value

Our values guide how we work, how we support our clients and how we work together. At the Insurance Commission of Western Australia, three values are at the heart of everything we do:

Care. Courage. Collaboration.

Why Our Values Matter

Many of the people we support are navigating some of the most challenging moments in their lives. Our values help ensure we deliver our services with professionalism, integrity and compassion while continuing to improve outcomes for Western Australians.

Care

Taking time to understand people.

Care means taking the time to understand each person's situation, concerns and needs. It means being respectful, thoughtful and present in every interaction.

For our clients and community, care means:

  • clear and timely communication
  • treating people with dignity and respect
  • listening and responding with empathy
  • helping people feel informed and supported.

Courage

Doing what needs to be done.

Courage means speaking up, acting with integrity and making informed decisions, even when conversations are difficult or outcomes are challenging.

For our clients and community, courage means:

  • being honest and transparent
  • providing clear answers
  • explaining decisions respectfully
  • taking ownership and accountability.

Collaboration

Working together for better outcomes.

Collaboration means working across teams, organisations and disciplines to achieve shared goals. We believe better outcomes are achieved when knowledge, expertise and different perspectives come together.

For our clients and community, collaboration means:

  • providing a coordinated experience
  • connecting people with the right support
  • reducing barriers and duplication
  • working together to improve recovery outcomes.

Our Commitment

Our values support our strategic plan and help shape our culture, leadership and decision-making.

Care, Courage and Collaboration help us create a workplace where people thrive and support clients with confidence and compassion.
