Community Engagement

The Insurance Commission recognises that it is important for organisations to be good corporate citizens by actively engaging with their stakeholders and contributing to the community.

We have an active community engagement program that aims to prevent or minimise the risk of injuries insured by the Insurance Commission, improve rehabilitation and care outcomes of Insurance Commission clients, and enable enhanced inclusion opportunities within the community. This helps the Insurance Commission to manage the cost of claims and to keep insurance premiums affordable.

The Insurance Commission of Western Australia Act 1986 sets out our obligations to initiate, participate and promote awareness into the treatment of personal injury and industrial diseases.

Our Community Engagement Framework outlines our strategic direction and maintains guidelines that help us assess new engagement initiatives and their relevance to the Insurance Commission.
