Motor Injury Insurance

Cars on highway

Western Australians like their cars and own more vehicles per head of population and per licensed driver compared to the rest of Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom.

Motor injury insurance is compulsory and provides 1.8 million drivers and 2.9 million owners of Western Australian registered vehicles with cover for injuries they cause to others in a motor vehicle crash anywhere in Australia.

It is paid when vehicles are registered with the Department of Transport.

We manage injury insurance claims and pay for treatment and other expenses for those injured in vehicle crashes through the fault of another driver.

Motor injury insurance also provides cover for anyone who sustains catastrophic injuries in a vehicle crash in Western Australia.

Your vehicle must be registered to drive on public roads in Western Australia. Motor injury insurance is paid for as part of the registration process.
