Netball WA

The Insurance Commission provided Netball WA $825,000 in sponsorship to promote Belt up between 2014 and 2016.

Netball is the highest female participation sport in Western Australia, with:

• Over 225,000 girls aged 5 to 15 years playing;
• Over 40,000 competitive members - 3,965 teams and 980 senior teams; and
• 60,000 people participating in local social netball.

Belt up is promoted through Netball WA’s strong player and support networks, including:

• Over 10,000 Belt up branded netballs distributed across the State;
• State Netball League;
• NAIDOC Carnival;
• Regional Academy Cup;
• State Association Championships;
• Championships; and
• Annual Belt up round.
