
The Insurance Commission provided RugbyWA $600,000 in sponsorship to promote Belt up between 2014 and 2016.
Rugby has a high participation rate of young males:
- Over 48,000 participants;
- 30 senior rugby clubs; and
- 110 registered teams.
Belt up is promoted through RugbyWA’s strong player and support networks, including:
- Belt up branded equipment distributed to school programs, junior and senior rugby clubs:
- 2,159 rugby balls;
- 208 hit shields;
- 38 sandwich boards; and
- 90 gear bags.
- Annual Belt up round;
- Senior Rugby Grand Final Weekend;
- Community Grand Finals Weekend;
- Clough Pursuit of Excellence School Program;
- Western Force and RugbyWA player appearances; and
- Western Force Super Rugby home games.
