The Insurance Commission provided the WACFL $600,000 in sponsorship to promote Belt up between 2014 and 2016.

WACFL’s 17 year sponsorship relationship with the Insurance Commission specifically targets country areas.

There is a high level of young males in rural areas that participate in WACFL throughout the entire State:

  • 27,000 players;
  • 25 senior leagues;
  • 150 individual clubs;
  • 506 junior teams; and
  • 14,000 volunteers.

Belt up is promoted through WACFL’s strong player and support networks, including:

  • Belt up branded footy jumpers distributed to 150 WACFL clubs;
  • Belt up branded footballs;
  • Annual Belt up round;
  • Great Southern Colts Carnival;
  • Northern Colts Carnival;

  • Kimberley 16s Carnival;
  • North West Academy 15s Championship;
  • Western Desert League Carnival;
  • Nicky Winmar Cup; and
