Your Digital Claiming Card, now on your smartphone

We've made it easier for you to have your approved treatments paid by the Insurance Commission.

  • The Digital Claiming Card contains your 19-digit treatment number and makes it easier for the Insurance Commission to pay for approved treatment related to your claim.
  • Treatments may include physiotherapy, chiropractor, psychologists, occupational therapists, speech pathologists, and osteopathic treatments.
  • To download and use the Digital Claiming Card, your device must be using the most recent operating system or the two prior versions. Older operating systems are not compatible. This applies to both Apple and Android devices.

Apple users can use their Apple Wallet to 'tap and pay' for approved treatments on a HICAPS terminal.

Android users can have a copy of their treatment number in their Google Wallet, ready to show service providers.


Important note for Android users: When entering your Date of Birth, tap on the YEAR shown at the top of the calendar (shown here with red box). Select your YEAR of birth first.

  • Fast and convenient.
    An SMS will be sent with a link to download your Digital Claiming Card.
  • Its secure and safe. 
    All information is stored on your device and encrypted.

How to download your Digital Claiming Card.

For Apple Users.
  1. A download link will be sent to you via SMS.
  2. Click on the download link.
    Please note: YOU WILL NEED THE LINK TO OPEN IN SAFARI. If your default browser is not Safari, just copy the link and paste into a Safari browser.
    Your Safari browser is the app that looks like this:

  4. Follow the yellow arrow and select 'Open'.
  5. Enter your date of birth.
  6. Select the 'Add to Apple Wallet' icon. Once download is complete, your Digital Claiming card is ready to use!
For Android Users.

Please note you will need to have Google Wallet on your device to download your Digital Claiming Card.

  1. A download link will be sent to you via SMS.
  2. Click on the download link.
  3. Enter your date of birth and select 'Download'.
  4. Once download is complete, your Digital Claiming Card is ready to use!.

Android users are currently unable to use the Digital Claiming Card to 'tap and pay' for approved treatments. This capability will be made available once Google Pay services can be processed on HICAPS terminals.
