Basketball WA

Approximately 165,000 Western Australians participate in basketball, with 130,000 regularly playing competitive basketball in organised competitions.

Basketball WA has over 50,000 members regularly participating in games, including 20,000 in regional WA across 60 locations from Kununurra to Esperance.

Belt Up is promoted through Basketball WA’s player and support networks, including:

• Belt Up branded basketballs distributed to affiliated basketball associations;
• Belt Up logos displayed on uniforms;
• Belt Up Country Championships and Belt Up Basketball Program;
• Basketball WA website and social media; and
• Basketball WA publications;

Additionally, the Insurance Commission funds wheelchairs and other equipment to support Basketball WA's wheelchair leagues.
